Thanksgiving 2010

This year was my first Thanksgiving away from home. Not saying that I didnt miss my family (cause I did) but I had a great time. I ended up going to Hamilton, Montana to spend Thanksgiving with my friend Bry and her family. My roommate Courtney went as well. We had a good time hanging out and eating real food for four days. The drive there was a little scary, we fish tailed quite a bit through the icy roads, but we made it safe and sound after five hours. On Thanksgiving we made a bonfire in the snow in Bry's backyard, it was nice and toasty and fun. On friday we were crazy enough to leave the house at 4am and go to Missoula to shop for Black Friday. We were there for about ten hours, it was such a long day. That night we went bowling, we all played horribly, but that was fun as well. We then stayed up til 3am so that we were up for 24 hours. Saturday we lounged around and watched movies and then went to the movie Burlesque at night, that was such a good movie. Definately worth seeing, the music was excellent and it was just all around a really good movie. On the way home on Sunday it snowed just about the entire way. Right before we got to our Great Falls exit the truck in front of us spun out and landed in the ditch, the road was a solid sheet of ice or we were gonna stop and help, but we made it back safe. In all, although I missed my family, I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with good friends and great food.

Blizzard

Today it snowed, really snowed! It was wonderful. I pretty much sat on my bed all day watching the snow fall out the window. After there was about an inch on the ground Bry comes into my room and says "come on guys!" So we head out to the snow behind Emilie Hall (thats our dorms) and play around in the snow, no jackets, just short sleeves and hats. It was freezing, but our snow angels looked pretty legit. Then after dinner and defrosting a bit we put on our jackets and went out and sledded down the big hill right outside our dorm. Needless to say we were pretty much covered in the white powdery goodness by the end of that. Also, I tried taking Courtney down in the snow and instead went down myself and got white-washed by this guy, Ian. It was hard to breathe with all the snow in my face and me laughing so hard. After that I tried again and finally Bry and I got Courtney down in the snow, she wasnt so happy, but we all laughed pretty hard. In all pretty good day in the snow.

Pill Man

As many have read on my facebook there is a man missing that we call pill man, no need to worry though, he isnt really missing. You see, this one day a couple months ago we were walking back to the dorms after lunch and we passed this old man who was walking his gray dog. As we passed he never looked up or anything and in his hand he was holding a pill container, the kind that has a slot for each day of the week. I looked back and I saw this old man throw his pills into the tree on the side of the sidewalk. Because of that we now call him pill man. We saw him several times since that, always throwing pills into the trees and one day I decided to go out and investigate. I walked to the tree I had seen him throw the pills in and all I saw was a squirrel eating whatever was there (the pills). However, in the last several weeks we have not seen pill man, and it is kind of sad.

Murder Mystery

Last Sunday we had Murder Mystery night. The theme was the 80s class reunion. My character was on the debate team and since had grown up to be an attorney. The whole thing was a little bit lame and slow moving, but it was better then sitting around doing absolutely nothing like we do quite often. The day before Murder Mystery we (as in Bry and myself) went to Goodwill to find her an outfit. Her character was a cheerleader for the math team who had grown up to marry the math team captain and became rich. Needless to say she looked ridiculous. It was quite funny. We spent two hours in Goodwill and I am pretty sure that I had her try on almost every single skirt in the store. In all it was an ok time going to Murder Mystery and trying to figure out who killed this guy and all that stuff that went along with it.

No Shave November

Most would say that No Shave November is just for the guys, however here at the University of Great Falls there are a few brave females partaking in the month, me and my friends included. We are ten days in and things aren't looking too bad, no one would even notice so I am all good. Anyways, the good part of having it be no shave in november is that starting this weekend the snow is supposed to start coming, meaning that I dont have to worry about people seeing my legs because it isnt as though Ill be wearing shorts or anything. Ps Dont Judge :)
