A Trip to Remember

Yesterday after classes, Meghan drove up from Helena to pick me up and we started our trip home. Everything was going good, I had snacks and energy drinks (yes, thats important for a twelve hour drive home). Everything was going good, until somewhere on I-90 when we hear a pop. Meghan thought it was a flat so we pulled over to see what was up. Unfortunately we werent that lucky, it was the radiator. Anti-freeze was pouring out the bottom of the car, there was no chance that we could keep driving. As my sister wass on the phone with my dad, I decided to run (yes, run down I-90) to the last sign that we passed, so that we could figure out where we were. I didnt expect that sign to be freaking mile away, I made it to the sign, looked back and realized the car was like an ant in the distance. Anyways, I found that we were only 3 miles from St. Regis (still in Montana). When I finally had ran back to the car, a guy had stopped (he saw a crazy running down the interstate and was so confused he stopped) and looking to see what the problem was. Thank the Lord, this guy was a kid that went to Carroll College with Meghan and she knew him. He towed us the three miles to St. Regis and after the power steering caused us to run off the road into a snow bank we finally made it to a gas station. We ended up leaving the car there and he gave us a ride to Ceour D'Alene. Meanwhile, my dad tried to drive to us in Ceour D'Alene, but couldnt even get past Snoqualmie pass. So Meghan and I got a room at Best Western and alas we are about twenty-four hours since I left Great Falls and still waiting for our dad to get to us. What a way to start Spring Break.

The Car Accident

For my Studio Art class we went to the Paris Gibson Square Art Museum last Thursday as a kind of "field trip". After our tour of the museum we were on our way back in my friend Cass's car and we almost made it back to the school when everything went downhill. This woman decided to pull her car out in front of us and stop in the middle of the road. Now it would have been fine if it werent for the ice all over the road. Cass tried to break and swirve out of the way, but there was nowhere to go. We hit. My side, the passenger side, crunched with this womans bumper. The woman jumps out of the car and acted like nothing had happened and we should just leave. Her bumper was clearly ruined so we called the police. After everything we find out the woman had a warrant for her arrest and a suspended license. She got arrested. Cass's car is pretty ruined, but no one was hurt.

Swamped

I leave tomorrow to go home for Spring Break. I have been super swamped with homework. Before I leave tomorrow I have to get through three classes (Im skipping one to leave), a test in Biology, a and a practical in Biology Lab (test pretty much). Its been a bit stressful getting everyhting done. I am working on a five page research paper in Biology and should get started on my ten page research paper thats due at the end of the semester in Forensic Science, but I have a week of nothing at home to get started on that. Not to mention I have to find two different science books to do book reviews on. Anywyas, its been a little hectic in my head, I feeli like I am going to forget to do something. I have sticky notes all over my room to remind me. I can do this, just need to focus and get it done.

Argo Spirit

The final home basketball games were last weekend. We went to all four games (2 mens games and 2 womens games). We lost all games except the final mens game. This game was EPIC. We played Westminster College and were losing for most of the game. In the last couple of minutes of the game we caught up and when the final buzzer rang we were tied. This led to Overtime. We kept overtime close, and when the buzzer went off we were at a tie AGAIN. Double Overtime. We had 5 seconds left in double overtime, we were down by two points. Foul. The other team shot their freethrows...and MISSED. They missed both shots, we had a chance. We get the rebound on the second shot and with one second left Mark, one of the players on our team, shoots the ball from mid court. He swishes it. We win by one point, the whole crown storms the court. Best. Game. Ever.

Blah

Not much has been happening here. The days are long and the weeks are short. Classes are going well. Got my best test score to date on my Biology exam last week. The foot of snow has melted, but we are about to have another snow storm later this week. The sun is out and its mid forties, which feels like summer I am sad to say. My roommate had surgery last week and just got back last night from a week at home. She has a wheelchair and I pushed her to class this morning, we realized that this school is far from handicap compatable. Her mom is also staying with us until tomorrow to make sure shes alright. Besides that nothing exciting has really happened lately. I went to a basketball game this weekend, we went into intense overtime and almost double overtime. Ended up losing by two points. The girls on my floor and I found that if you kick a small ball back and forth in the hallway you can be entertained for hours. We are starting block printing in Studio Art, which should be pretty fun, we did still life photography in ILC, which was not my favorite, but not horrid, we are learning about cell replication in Biology, lame, and in Forensic we have to wear a shirt for three days and we are gonna see what we find on it tomorrow. Thats about it, though.

Snow...Again

Two days ago it was warming up and the snow had all melted pretty much. Then BAM! we wake up on Saturday and its snowing. It snowed two days straight. Today when we woke up to go to class it was -20 degrees outside... needless to say, I am cold. I dont think theres enough tea in the world to warm me up at this point.

"Snowshoeing"

For Corpse of Discovery we were supposed to go Snowshoeing up in the mountains outside of town. However, do to weather we couldnt get onto the interstate and get out of town. We ended up going to this park maybe ten minutes from campus and sledded down this huge hill. My roommate Bry had been getting sick so she was drinking plenty of fluids and by the time we got to the park she had to go to the bathroom so bad. So her, this girl Kin, Hannah, Kandice, and myself all went on a hunt for a nearby restroom. Three of us had snowshoes on and looked quite ridiculous. After about two miles walking along, we made it to a gas station, and half way back to campus. In the end everyone picked us up half way back to the park and our adventure was complete.
